In India, the education of the slum children is being spear headed by the Ngo in India. These NGOs are offering the children an opportunity to learn in a fun and secure environment.
It is no big secret that private institutions of learning in India and the rest of the world are very expensive. They are practically unattainable for the poor children living in the slums. Just because of the fact that one is poor does not mean that they do not qualify to have quality education. This is the reason that different NGOs are now concentrating on providing free education to the children living in the slums.

The inspiration that drives these organizations is the provision of education to the children who are unable to get the expensive private education that other children have in India. When the young student has to find ways to provide for the family and still look for a good education they will not be able to concentrate fully on their studies. They will always be preoccupied and the result is that they will be unable to concentrate in class. The NGO can step in and help the struggling student by ensuring that they do not have to struggle to look for school fees and other finances to buy books and reading material. Through slum education, the struggling slum child is now being given the opportunity of having a good education that will not cost them a thing.
